CtiboÅ™ (Tachov District)

CTIBOR ( German Stiebenreith ) is a municipality with 338 inhabitants ( 1 January 2004) in the Czech Republic. It is located 3 km northwest of Tachov at an altitude of 595 m above sea level. M. in the Upper Palatinate Forest ( Český les ).

History

The first mention of Stiebenreith dates from the 1375. Cheb In the city archive is 1465 the place " Stibesreut " called. The Czech name CTIBOR probably goes back to the same Slavic founder of the village. In the 15th and 16th century castle is mentioned, with the manor was apparently in the area of the village square.

Stiebenreith was under Habsburg rule from 1526 to the former Austrian Empire. The border with Bavaria was in the west a few kilometers away from the village.

The planners control roller counted in the 17th century, 14 farmers, 16 Chalupner and 7 gardener ( small farmers ). 1788 there were 57 in the village house numbers and a belonging to the city Tachau yard ( No. 10). Until the abolition of patrimonial regimes in 1850 the village between the dominions plan and Tachau was divided.

From 1850 Stiebenreith was a village in the district plan and in 1910 the district Tachau allocated.

1939 lived in the village of 367 people, where there were a total of 79 house numbers.

Stiebenreith was a farming village in essence. The pastoral care of the villagers was initially perceived by the deanery Tachau, but many villagers went to the nearby town of neck to the church. In 1926, a separate pseudo- baroque church was built after the plans of architect A. Schneider at the Halser street in Stiebenreith. A private cemetery was created in 1916 above the village.

The school was built in the 1850s and in 1899 expanded to a floor.

The Second World War ended for the German population of the town with the loss of their home. In the fall of 1946, all forcibly resettled Germans had left the village.

In 1960, the incorporation of Březí. From 1 January 1980 to 31 December 1991 were CTIBOR and Březí districts of Halže. At the beginning of 1992, the community received back their independence. The church was restored in 1993.
