The Rio Cuiabá is a Brazilian river in the state of Mato Grosso, namesake of the city of Cuiabá.

The river of 980 km length springs azul northeast of Rosário Oeste in the Serra and forms in its lower reaches the border between the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul.

From Cuiabá up to its confluence with the Paraguay River north of the city Corumbá he runs through the Pantanal and is navigable. The most important tributaries are on the left side of the Rio São Lourenço and the Rio Piqueri.
