Culebrita

Culebrita (Spanish Isla Culebrita to German "little snake" ) is a small uninhabited island east of the island of Culebra to the east of Puerto Rico. Together with the island of Cayo Botella to its northwest side Culebrita administratively belongs to the eastern barrio Frailes of Culebra.

The 1.6 km long island in the shape of an anvil, which belongs to an archipelago around the Isla Culebra, has been explained fully to the nature reserve. Here is the only building a lighthouse, which was built in 1886 by the Spanish crown.

On the coral island, there are six beaches, of which Playa Tortuga ( "Turtle beach " ) is the largest; he is named after the domestic water turtles here.

To the east of the island there are numerous large tide pools.
