Cult of Luna

Cult of Luna is a band from Umeå, Sweden. It is one of the most successful representatives of the post Metals, taking different elements va of doom metal and post - hardcore picks. Her earlier works are partly attributed also to the sludge, while later albums have a higher post-rock influence, of which the band with the release of Eternal Kingdom but deliberately wants to delimit. The band's name is from a cult in ancient Greece who worshiped the moon (latin "Luna" ), and derived to represent the mood of the music.

The two guitarists Johannes Persson and Fredrik Kihlberg are also part of the rock band Khoma, keyboardist Anders Teglund plays guitar in the indie band Convoj.
