Culture of Greece

The Greek culture was the culture of ancient Greece. Their distribution areas were both the Greek peninsula and the Aegean islands and the west coast of Asia Minor ( Ionia ) and southern Italy ( Magna Graecia ) and later, the Hellenistic period, the Greek areas of influence as a result of the campaigns of Alexander the Great: the Ptolemaic Egypt with its capital Alexandria, the Athens replaced as a cultural center, the Seleucid Syria capital Antioch, to the Graeco -Bactrian kingdom and even the Graeco -Indian empire.
