Culture theory
In cultural theory refers to the developing theoretical foundations of cultural studies research. Analogous to the other use of the term theory (as in literary theory, film theory, etc. ) the term both the respective individual theory designs, as well as the totality of these theories.
Every single culture theory is a theoretical design for the understanding of " culture" at all (contrary to the "Company" ), or phenomena, mechanisms and basic structures of the culture of a particular community or ethnic group.
Cultural theory is thus at the intersection of several scientific disciplines, such as sociology, ethnology, anthropology, as well as art theory, political science and history, if this aim at the basic characteristics of culture, or cultures in their widest sense and thus a basic understanding of the whole human seeking expressions of life in social interaction.
