Cupcake

A cupcake ( British fairy cake also ) is a small cake that is baked in a cup-like baking dish and covered with a cast or a cream hood. Cupcakes have similarity with muffins. 1828 emerged the concept for the first time in the cookbook of the US-American Eliza Leslie.

In the UK we also call him fairy cake, but even there the term cupcake is now increasingly used, as well as in Australia. The term cupcake is already penetrated so far in the United States in the vocabulary that he has also become a term of endearment.

Preparation
