Cupula

Cupula (Latin for "little barrel, cup " ) is:

  • In anatomy a gelatinous mass on the sensory hairs of the semicircular canals of mammals, see the organs of equilibrium
  • As the enveloping gelatinous dome of the neuromasts of the fish, see lateral line organ
  • Cupula pleurae as the pleural
  • In botany generally a cup-like structure
  • The envelope of the fruits of the Fagaceae, see fruit cups
  • In archeology a prehistoric or ancient artifact, a bowl- like depression in the solid rock or concrete to its creation and use different views to be expressed
