Curia

Curia (Latin ) was originally the name for the assembly of the voting representatives of the people in Roman cities. Derived from the term of the Curia then also related to the central meeting or assembly building (Town Hall ).

The best known curiae were the Curia Hostilia and her successor building, the Curia Iulia, the Assembly building of the Roman Senate in the Forum Romanum in Rome itself more curiae in Rome insisted on the Capitol and in the complex of Pompeiustheaters, known as the site of Caesar's assassination.
