Curico is a city in the middle of the South American Andean country Chile. It belongs to the Maule Region and has 102 439 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2005).

The name comes from the Mapudungun language Curico and means black water ( Curi = black; Co = water).

Curico is located in central Chile, about 194 km south of Santiago in the Maule Region (Region VII).
