Curren $ y ( April 4, 1981; actually Shante Scott Franklin ) is an American rapper from New Orleans.

Biography

Already in 2003, was signed Curren $ y from No Limit, Master P 's label. But neither there nor in Young Money by Lil Wayne, which he joined two years later, he brought it up to a private album release. After all, he was represented in 2006 to Wayne's Tha Carter II album and Where da Cash At published its own single that same year.

After separating from Young Money was followed by some mix tapes with Fly Society, a private label, which he founded with skateboarder Terry Kennedy, and some digital publications, before finally graduating with Def Jam in 2010. There, finally released his debut album Pilot Talk and in the same year Pilot Talk II, both of which went into the U.S. album charts and the rap albums reached the Top 10.
