Currie RFC

The Currie Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club that plays in the Scottish Hydro Electric Premiership. The home games are played in Malleny Park in Edinburgh.

The club was founded in 1970 and played his first game against Gala. In 1973, the Scottish Association created an official league structure. Currie was placed in the second division of the Edinburgh District League. In the next few years, the association worked his way into higher leagues. In 1982 they built their own clubhouse, which was modernized in the coming decades. 1990 Currie was reached in the first division. Mid-1990s, they built new grandstands and floodlights to be the professionalization of the sport. In 2007, the club won the Scottish Cup for the first time.
