Curt Clausen

Curt Raymond Clausen ( born October 9, 1967 in Trenton) is an American touring.

He was especially successful on the 50 - kilometer distance. The outstanding result of his career he achieved by winning the bronze medal at the World Athletics Championships in 1999 in Seville. Originally, he had reached the goal only in fourth behind German Skurygin, Ivano Brugnetti and Nikolai Matjuchin. Skurygin was however found guilty of doping and subsequently disqualified, so the other walkers aufrückten one rank in the standings.

Two years later, Clausen finished in seventh place at the World Athletics Championships in 2001 in Edmonton. In addition, he participated in three Olympic Games between 1996 and 2004. His best finish where he won at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney with the 22nd place over 50 km.

Curt Clausen won at different distances a total of 18 U.S. titles. He is 1.86 m tall and has a competition weight of 67 kg.
