Curt Lahs
Curt Lah ( born January 15, 1893 in Dusseldorf, † 1958 in Berlin) was a German painter.
Life
1919 Lah had a collective exhibition in the gallery Flechtheim, Dusseldorf. Member of the group The Young Rhineland, he was two years later, and he had an exhibition at "Mother Ey ". In 1930 he accepted a professorship at the State Art School in Berlin, he should pause for three years. Then nämlcih he was removed for antifascist activities and as a "degenerate artist " of his teaching contract. Since the same year he had collective exhibitions in France, Yugoslavia and Italy, this exhibition period ended 1943. 1945 he gave collective exhibitions in Berlin, including at the Galerie Gerd Rosen and Galerie Bremer. Lectures at the University of Halle he held since 1947. The following year, the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin appointed him professor. Another year later, he left the University of Halle.
