Cusco Province
The Cusco Province is the smallest of the 13 provinces in the Cusco Region in the Peruvian Andes. It has an area of 617 km ² and 348 493 inhabitants ( census 2005). Its capital is the eponymous Cusco.
It is bordered on the north by the provinces of Calca and Urubamba, to the east by the province Quispicanchi, to the south by the province Paruro and to the west by the province of Anta. All these provinces also include Cusco region.
Districts
The province is in turn in eight districts (Spanish distritos ) divided all of which are named after their respective capitals. These are Cusco, Ccorca, Poroy, San Jerónimo, San Sebastian, Santiago, Saylla and Wanchaq.
