In 2012, he fought his way to a points victory in the final over Mian Hussain ( 12:7 ) his third Canadian title.

In 2010 he competed at the Pan American Championships in Quito. In the welterweight he defeated there Christian Peguero, Puerto Rico on points ( 4-1 ), but lost in the quarterfinals against Óscar Molina from Mexico just on points ( 5:6 ), so he resigned and finished 5th. In the quarterfinals, he met the British European champion Fred Evans, to whom he gave a great fight, who stood at the end of 14:14. The judges then chose Evans as the winner, which was considered by Custio Clayton and the Canadian team lead as a blatant miscarriage of justice. He retired from it and took a 5th place.

At the Pan American Championships in 2013 in Santiago de Chile Clayton won a bronze medal.
