Cut and Shoot is a city in Montgomery County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States.

Geography

The city is located about 65 kilometers north of Houston and 10 km east of Conroe in the east of the county in southeast Texas and has a total area of 7.0 km ² without significant water surface.

History

Supposedly, the place was named after 1912 after a confrontation within the community on a new bell for the only church that way. Population statistics were first reported mid-70s, when there were 50 residents.

Demographic data

According to the census of 2000, there were 1,158 people in 389 households, and 324 families. The population density was 164.4 inhabitants per km ². 29.1% of the population were under 18 years old, 7.6 % from 18 to 24, 29.3% 25-44, 23.1% from 45 to 64, and 10.9% who were 65 years or older. The average age was 35 years. For every 100 females of all ages were 100.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, 97.4 males.
