Cut (earthmoving)

An incision called an upwardly open recess for infrastructure that is built by the removal of soil material. It is used to compensate for uneven floors and is bounded laterally by embankments and down through the incision sole. It is used for roads, railways and canals. Cuts have emerged in sunken roads, however there by the permanent use, as well as rainwater. An incision is also used for the open-ended design for tunnels used.
