As the Cuxland located between the Weser and the Elbe estuary Cuxhaven is referred to in the context of tourism.

Terminology

The term Cuxland is a sole purpose of tourism promotion developed artistic word, but not at a historic landscape designation. In particular, the seaside resorts of Samtgemeinde country belonging to the city of Cuxhaven resorts Sahlenburg, Cuxhaven and Dosen and the city Ottersdorf are hereby Wursten as Dorum, Wremen and Midlum, also referred to.

Tourism

Use of the term " Cuxland "

A resident holiday park company the rights to the word "Cuxland " has already let in 1997 to protect trademark law.

In the summer of 2008 here on conflicts are well documented. In this context, the council of the county decided, in behind the general and widespread use of the term Cuxland.
