Cuyuni-Mazaruni

Cuyuni - Mazaruni is a region in the west of Guyana with an area of ​​47,213 km ². The region is bordered to the north by the regions of Barima - Waini, Essequibo Islands-West Demerara and Pomeroon - Supenaam, on the east by the Upper Demerara - Berbice region, the region Potaro - Siparuni and Brazil to the south and Venezuela to the west. The territory is disputed between Guyana and Venezuela. Before the administrative reform of 1980, the area belonged to the region Mazaruni - Potaro.

The capital is Bartica, and there are the cities Issano, Isseneru, Kartuni, Peters Mine, Mine Arimu, Kamarang, Keweigek, Imbaimadai, Tumereng and Kamikusa.
