Cuzion

Cuzion is a commune with 443 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Indre in the Centre region; it belongs to the district of La Chatre and the District of La Chatre.

Geography

Cuzion is located on the western boundary of the municipality forming Creuse, about 40 kilometers south of Châteauroux. The Creuse is dammed in the range between Cuzion and Éguzon- Chantôme. The resulting twelve kilometers long Lac de Chambon is used for energy generation ( power plant Barrage d' Éguzon ) and recreation.

The municipality includes the villages of Le Cuzion Cerisier, Les Chérons, La Jarrige, Le Champ de Roches, Bonnu, Les Couvieilles and Le Quartier.

Neighboring communities of Cuzion are Gargilesse- Dampierre in the north, Saint- Plantaire the southeast, Éguzon- Chantôme in the southwest and Baraize in the northwest.
