Cvetkovci

Cvetkovci is a 460 inhabitants ( 2002) scoring village in Slovenia. It is located in Lower Styria and belongs to the municipality Ormož. Originally Maierhof called place mentioned under this name for the first time in 1320.

In the area of the village there are remains of a Roman road that led from Poetovio by Savaria ( Szombathely ). Today, the village is situated on the national road Ptuj Ormož, bordering the villages Osluševci, Podgorci and Trgovišče. In the south, it borders on the Republic of Croatia. Through the village two rivers, Pešnica and the Drava river ( Drava ). The village consists of five village parts, namely from the lower and upper village, Trnje, Dobrava and Otok.

The main occupation of the inhabitants in the village is agriculture; many residents work in neighboring cities Ormož and Ptuj.
