System

Based on reference copies that had been collected from Si -Yuan Yang and Bin Wu 1979 near Dukou ( Panzhihua ), described the Chinese gardener Lin Zhou and Si -Yuan Yang 1981, the plant under the taxon Cycas panzhihuaensis. In the same magazine issue also contains a description of a second species Cycas baguanheensis appeared in the class by the Chinese herbalist Li Kuo Fu and Shu Zhi Cheng of the Institute of Botany in Beijing, on collecting specimens from the same expedition in 1979, collected by Yang and Wu in Baguan He near Panzhihua, based. It is now assumed that the specimens described in Cycas baguanheensis represent only a kümmerwüchsige form of the same species Cycas panzhihuaensis from a less attractive location.
