Cylarabes

Kylarabes ( altgr. Κυλαράβης, lat Cylarabes ), son of Sthenelus, was in Greek mythology, king of Argos. He was a great-grandson of Anaxagoras, and ranks among the Anaxagoriden. His brother was Kometes.

Since the Biantide Kyanippos died childless and the Melampide Amphilochus emigrated to the Trojan War to the present Amfilohia, Kylarabes again took over the sole rule over Argos. Once, however, he died without descendants, Orestes, son of Agamemnon, king of Argos.

A gymnasium in Argos was named after him Kylarabis gymnasium. Here was his grave.
