Cynda Williams

Cynda Williams ( born May 17, 1966 in Chicago ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

Williams completed a study at Ball State University. She made her debut alongside Denzel Washington in the musical drama Mo ' Better Blues Spike Lee from the year 1990. In the thriller One False Move (1992 ) she played opposite Bill Paxton and Billy Bob Thornton one of the main roles. For this role she was nominated in 1993 for the Independent Spirit Award.

In the TV drama The Wedding (1998) Williams starred opposite Halle Berry one of the major roles. In the television drama Rising Star (1999) she played a sister of Dorothy Dandridge ( Halle Berry ). In the comedy Tru Loved ( 2008), she played Alexandra Paul and two women living in a lesbian relationship and educate together Tru ( Najarra Townsend ).

Williams was married in 1990 to 1992, Billy Bob Thornton; in the years 1993 to 1998 she was married to actor Arthur Louis Fuller. In 2001, she married the film producer Roderick Plummer, from whom she has a child.
