Cypella herbertii
Becherschwertel ( Cypella ) is a genus of flowering plants in the family of Iris Family ( Iridaceae ).
Description
Becherschwertel are perennial herbaceous plants with bulb -like tubers that reach a height of around 50 centimeters. Your basal leaves are linear to lanceolate - linear and folded. The simple or branched stems are cylindrical in cross section, of them are a few sheets of small size.
The flowers are either Trugdolde or as terminal single flowers. The bloom are non- growing and of various shapes and sizes: the three leaves of the outer petal circle are obovate and spread the inside of the upright, are considerably smaller and narrower and are rolled from the tips here. The pen may be irregularly lobed, winged or branched and project beyond the anthers.
The fruit is a capsule approximately round to elongate with a plurality of flat, brown seeds.
Dissemination
The Becherschwertel are widespread in tropical and subtropical Central and South America from Mexico to Argentina.
