The Fächerblättrige Lady's Slipper ( Cypripedium japonicum) is a species of the genus Cypripedium in the orchid family ( Orchidaceae).

Features

The Fächerblättrige Lady's Slipper is a perennial plant with a rhizome, which reaches stature heights of 25 to 45 centimeters. The upright stem is brown hairy. The leaves are fan-shaped, almost opposite, sitting above the center stem and measure 8 to 16 × 7 to 23 centimeters. The radiating nerves end at the blade tips. Also flower stems and flower stem are hairy tomentose. It is formed a single flower. The outer and inner tepals are pale yellow or greenish yellow. The lip is in the side view of an L-shape, their color is yellowish pink to white with darker, reddish spots. The capsule fruit is about spindle-shaped.

Bloom time is from May to June.

Occurrence
