Cyriacus the Anchorite

Kyriakos ( born January 9, 449 in Corinth; † beginning 557 ) was an anchorite.

Approximately 466 Kyriakos came to Palestine, where he received the Great on the monastic habit of Euthymius, but was not included due to his youth under his monks. Subsequently he became a pupil of Gerasimos. After his death, he returned to the Laura of Euthymius. Because of Origen disputes he went 486 in the old Laura near Bethlehem, where he was ordained priest. From 525 he lived in the hermitages of Natufa (up 530), Rubba (up to 535) and Susakim (up to 542). After him, the monks of Suka called back to act together against Nonno's († 547 ) and the Origenists. He spent his last two years of life to a great old age in the Cave of Chariton, the founder of the Palestinian monasticism.
