Cyril Chapuis

Cyril Chapuis ( born March 21, 1979 in Lyon ) is a French football player. Most recently, he was at FC Metz under contract.

League career

Chapuis began his professional career with Chamois Niort in Ligue 2 and then moved to Stade Rennes in Ligue 1 In January 2002 he signed for Olympique Marseille, a five-year contract.

He played there one and a half years. Thereafter, he was initially loaned to Leeds United, where he but only once was used against Bolton in November 2003, then he played on loan at Racing Strasbourg (January to June 2004) and for AC Ajaccio ( 2004/ 05).

In 2005, he had no contract more. After over a year without a club he joined for trial Rangers, eventually signed but at Grenoble in Ligue 2

International career

Chapuis has been appointed to the French U-21 National Team. He was part of the squad that lost at the U- 21 Football Championship in 2002 in the final against the Czech U-21 national team.
