Cystohepatic triangle

The Calot triangle or trigonum cystohepaticum is an anatomical orientation mark at the liver. It is named after the French physician Jean -François Calot.

Made, or limited it is:

  • Below: the cystic duct
  • Medial: common hepatic duct
  • Above: front lower edge of the liver

Is up onto the orientation mark at the cholecystectomy for the Suppression of the cystic duct and in the Calot triangle usually into two branches, the ramus profundus et superficial aufteilenden arteria cystica. This division can be very varied, which is why careful preparation is necessary.
