CZAW SportCruiser

The CSA Sport Cruiser is a two-seat light aircraft of the Czech manufacturer Czech Sport Aircraft (formerly Czech Aircraft Works).

History

The CSA Sport Cruiser of the Czech manufacturer based in Kunovice Czech Sport Aircraft (formerly Czech Aircraft Works ) launched in 2006 for its maiden flight. In January 2010, the American manufacturer Piper took the plane to license as PiperSport in its product range to and responding to the competition from many new light aircraft ( such as the Cessna C -162 ). As variants, the Piper Sport LT ( training aircraft ) and the Piper Sport LTD ( business aircraft ) are offered. The first delivery was in April 2010. U.S. dollars as the price depending on the version 120000-140000 stated (May 2010). In early 2011 finished Piper cooperation, as were basic " differences in business philosophy of" specified .. The Sport Cruiser has since been re- distributed directly by CSA.

Construction

The Sport Cruiser is a two-seat light aircraft of all-metal construction. The low-wing monoplane powered by a Rotax 912ULS with 75 kW or a Jabiru 3300 with 89 kW of power. The two fuel tanks each hold 57 liters. As propeller reach two- or three-blade versions for use. The cabin has a width of 1.18 m. As a start- and landing distance 110 m and 120 m are given. In the version as PiperSport a rescue system, a glass cockpit and autopilot are offered as an option yet. The aircraft complies with its maximum take-off mass of 600 kg, the requirements on licensing category Light Sport Aircraft.
