Czech Bishops' Conference

The Czech Bishops' Conference ( Czech: Česká Biskupská konference ) was established by the Holy See and is the meeting of bishops in the Czech Republic. She is the episcopal conference of the Roman Catholic Church in the Czech Republic and the Greek Catholic Church in the Czech Republic.

Working basis

The task of the Czech Bishops' Conference is in pastoral cohesion of the Catholic Christians in the Czech Republic. It shall promote the unity and purpose uses pastoral programs. These should be adapted to the existing time and the current circumstances. The Episcopal Conference is subject to the provisions of the Code of Canon Law (CIC ) and has its headquarters in Prague. She is a member of the Council of European Bishops 'Conferences (CCEE ) and the Commission of the Bishops' Conferences of the European Community ( COMECE).

Organization

In the Czech Bishops' Conference there is an executive committee, a " Permanent Council ", a general secretariat, several commissions and councils for special tasks. Its leaders are appointed by the conference, they can further members appointed and set property committees.
