Czech passport

The Czech passport ( Czech: cestovní pas, pas) is awarded to the citizens of the Czech Republic and is the primary travel document for travel abroad. The Czech Republic has been a member of the European Union, which is noted on the passport cover.

The passport is issued by the Ministry of Interior and remains after the handing ownership of the state.

Information in the passport

The passport contains in Czech, English and French, the following information:

The information in the passport is machine-readable.

The 2006 series were the first biometric passports in the Czech Republic. The current series was introduced in March 2009. The main change is the addition of two fingerprints.

Diplomatic passports

In addition to the diplomatic staff are diplomatic passports to the president, former president, government ministers, members of parliament, judges of the Constitutional Court, and partly also family members.
