Czechoslovak War Cross 1939-1945

The Czechoslovak War Cross 1939 ( Czech Československý válečný kříž 1939) was donated by the exile government of Czechoslovakia on December 20, 1940 and was planned in honor of deeds during the Second World War, which led to the liberation of the Republic. The award was presented by the President or by Minister of Defense and other authorized persons by the President.

The cross has only one stage. The ceremony took place at Czechoslovak citizens in the home, of units of the Czechoslovak Army and their relatives abroad and of units of the Allied armies and their relatives, who have earned in battles for the liberation of Czechoslovakia.

The cross is on the front of the small state coat of arms of Czechoslovakia, on the back of emblem pictures of the four countries (Slovakia, Carpathian Ruthenia, Moravia and Silesia ).
