Czechoslovakia in 1968 is an American documentary from the year 1969.

Action

In pictures and film clips, the history of Czechoslovakia is shown from 1918 to 1968. Special attention is given in the second part of the film on the Prague Spring and the violent suppression of democracy and reform movement under Alexander Dubček by the invasion of Warsaw Pact troops.

1970 the film in the category of Best Short Documentary was awarded the Oscar.

In 1997 the film was added to the National Film Registry of the " National Film Preservation Board ."
