Czernina

Czernina is a Polish soup whose main ingredient (sometimes chicken blood ) consists of duck blood. Thus, the soup gets a sweet - sour taste, vinegar and a little sugar is used. Otherwise, there are many different recipes. Added are often dried plums, pears, cherries or raisins.

Czernina is served either with dumplings, homemade pasta or with potatoes. A traditional dish is the Kaszëbskô czarwina in Polish Czernina kaszubska, the Kashubian nature of this soup.
