Czyże

Czyże (White Russian Чыжы, Zischi ) is a Polish village in the Podlaskie Voivodeship in powiat Hajnowski in the same Gmina Czyże.

Situated in the since 2010 officially bilingual Gmina Czyże place is inhabited mainly by Poles Belarusian nationality and had 590 inhabitants in 2006. It is situated 20 km east of Bielsko Podlaski and 12 km west of Hajnówka.

There are a number of references to the importance of the Belarusian Orthodox Church in the village.
