D'ZRT

D' ZRT was a Portuguese boy band.

History

The Portuguese private television channel TVI, the band had cast in advance, for their future, successful television series Morangos com Açúcar. The name was formed from the initial letters of the television roles of members: David ( Angelico Vieira ), Zé ( Vítor Fonseca ), Ruca ( Edmundo Vieira ) and tope ( Paulo Vintém ).

Due to the success the band was active outside the TV series. On stage and in the studio they were accompanied by professional musicians with their instruments as they sang and danced. They gave a number of concerts and released four CD albums.

In 2008, the band broke up. Besides Paulo Vintém especially Angelico Vieira has been successful in the result as a solo artist. 2009, formed the band in 2009 without new, and they gave regular concerts up to 2010, roughly at the Rock in Rio Festival in 2010, with Angélico as a guest. Angelico died in 2011 in a car accident. Meanwhile, the group is considered to be resolved.

Reception

The band found a large enthusiastic following in Portugal, not least thanks to the hit TV series. They filled correspondingly large halls, and all of their albums reached the top spot on the Billboard charts.
