D. J. Fontana

Dominic Joseph Fontana ( born March 15, 1931 in Shreveport, Louisiana ) is an American musician, best known as the drummer for Elvis Presley. Fontana's achievements have been recognized by the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.

Under his nickname, " DJ ", he was engaged in the Country show Louisiana Hayride at the local house band to perform at the show on Saturday night as drummer. In October 1954, he was able to play with the King of Rock 'n ' Roll for the first time, and thus began a 15-year collaboration between the two musicians. 1983 published D. J. Fontana the book D. J. Fontana Remembers Elvis about his collaboration with Elvis Presley.

After the end of his appearances with Presley played DJ Fontana also. Known for names like Dolly Parton, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Ron Wood and Keith Richards
