The Drzavna cesta D8 ( Croatian for, national road D8 ') is the longest Croatian national road with 658 km and runs from the Slovenian border at Pasjak from Matulji along the Adriatic coast to the Montenegrin border at Karasovići. The D8 is by far the longest part of the Adriatic coast road ( Jadranska Magistrala ).

Route

From Rijeka, the route via Senj, Zadar, Sibenik, Split Opuzen, Neum and Dubrovnik to the border with Montenegro. In Neum the border to Bosnia and Herzegovina is crossed twice. On Bosnian territory herzegowinischem the D8 is interrupted to 9.3 miles and is referred to therein M2.

Extension

The D8 is already four lanes in the city of Split. The sections from Trogir to Split and from Split to Omis be expanded at a time. The work will not be completed before 2013.
