Daaden (Verbandsgemeinde)

The community association Daaden is an administrative unit in the form of a local authority in the district of Old Churches ( Westerwald) in Rhineland- Palatinate. The municipality consists of nine independent local churches, the council is based in the eponymous municipality Daaden.

The community association has emerged in the wake of the Rhineland-Palatinate region reform from the former Office Daaden 1968.

On 13 December 2013, the parliament of Rhineland -Palatinate has decided against the will of the two affected local authorities to exercise by the " state law on the integration of the combined free city Herdorf in the municipality Daaden " from 1 July 2014, an additional community in the municipality integrate. The name of the municipality is then " collective municipality Herdorf - Daaden ". Both the city and the municipality Herdorf Daaden have stated that they will appeal against the state law constitutional complaint.
