Daba Modibo Keïta

Daba Modibo Keïta ( born April 5, 1981 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast ) is a Malian Taekwondoin. It starts at heavyweight.

Keïta grew up in the Ivory Coast, but had to flee with his family to Mali, the home of his parents in 2000. There he began, together with his two brothers, first with Taekwondo. In 2005 he was accepted into a program of support of the World Taekwondo Federation ( WTF ), which allowed him a professional training in France and the United States. Keïta played his first international title fights at the World Championships 2005 in Madrid, but different in his opening fight of. Two years later he was able to advance to the international top. He won at the 2007 World Championships in Beijing in the weight category over 84 kg with a superior final win the gold medal.
