Dashennongjia

The Daba Daba Shan, or Mountains (Chinese大巴山, in Chinese, also abbreviated as Ba Shan巴山) is a mountain range in southwestern China on the northern edge of the Sichuan Basin.

In a narrower sense Daba Shan refers to the in the border area of Sichuan and Shaanxi and lying to the east extending to the west of the province of Hubei mountains. It is the watershed of the rivers Han Jiang (汉江) and Jinsha Jiang (嘉陵江). The mountain is average 1300-2000 m high, its highest peak, the Dashennongjia (大 神农架), is located in Shennongjia forest region of Hubei, he has a height of 3053 m.

In a broad sense it covers the provinces of Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu and Hubei and is bordered by the Sichuan basin and Hanzhong Basin.

The belonging to Chongqing nature reserve Dabashan (大巴山 自然保护区) is on the state list of China's nature reserves.

Pinus henryi (Chinese巴山 松) and Abies fargesii (巴山 冷杉) are named in Chinese, to the mountains.
