DAC (vehicle manufacturer)

The term diesel car Camion, abbreviated as DAC, was a shared sales designation for commercial vehicles of the Romanian manufacturer and Roman Rocar.

History

Use was the name from 1973 novel. From exactly when it was introduced in Rocar is unclear, however, were buses, which were produced at Rocar, delivered at the latest in 1975 under the name of DAC. After the dissolution of Rocar 2002 novel used the mark on alone. With the change of name to " S. C. S. A. Roman " in 2004, no trucks were delivered more under the name of DAC. Reason was that the new ( private ) owner only wanted to use the brand name " Roman". In previous years, according to the customer were the terms " novel" or " DAC " are used. Except for the logo, the vehicles at that time were identical.

Models

In addition to the model plate by Roman of the time, which was sold in parallel under both names, there were some buses and trolleybuses, which, although produced by Rocar or novel, but were marketed exclusively under the name DAC. Example is the DAC 112 E.
