Daddy Yankee

Daddy Yankee ( born February 3, 1977 in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez actually ) is a Puerto Rican rapper and is considered one of the most important representatives of reggaeton.

Career

Since the early 90s, Daddy Yankee is active in the music industry and has Reggaeton supported in its development phase. His father was a member of a salsa band and his mother was a teacher.

In school he was interested in baseball. At the age of 17 years, Ramon was shot because of mistaken identity. The shot hit his leg and disabled him for a long time. His career as a baseball player was over it. From then on he devoted his interest his other great passion, music. He decided to become reggaeton artist and drew from now on, with DJ Playero from block to block. He was represented on numerous mixtapes from Playero, and in 1997 he first appeared internationally with the song Posición on the soundtrack to One Tough Cop on.

In Puerto Rico, Daddy Yankee has been known since the mid-nineties, each of his five albums have reached platinum status. With Cójela que va sin jockey (feat. Glory ) he was in 2003 on the award-winning album " DJ Nelson presenta Luny Tunes y Noriega - Más flow" represented. With the song Gasolina (produced by Luny Tunes and sold by Jack White ) managed Daddy Yankee international breakthrough. His album Barrio Fino sold in the U.S. alone a million times.

Nevertheless, Daddy Yankee devoted to other projects, he starred in the movie Talento de barrio the lead role. He also has his own record company called El Cartel Records and his own Reebok sneaker collection. In 2010 he played himself in the American soap opera Bold and the Beautiful and sang his hit pose.

In Puerto Rico, Daddy Yankee is now regarded as an integral part of reggaeton and as its driving force - not only because he sold his albums a million times; in his native country, he also received the title of " role model of the year".

In the summer of 2006, he was heard along with Sean Paul in the produced by Luny Tunes Song Oh Man.

Early 2013 supported Daddy Yankee the Romanian singer Inna hit on their single More Than Friends. The duo placed with the song on February 3, 2013 shall be immediately ranked 56 of Romanian Top 100
