Dadiwan culture

The Dadiwan - site (Chinese大地 湾 文化/大地 湾 遗址, Pinyin Dadiwan yízhǐ, English Dadiwan site / Ta -ti -wan Site ) is a dated to 5800-3000 BC Neolithic archaeological site in the north of the circle of Qin'an Chinese province of Gansu. It was excavated 1978-1983. The Dadiwan culture ( Dadiwan Wenhua大地 湾 文化Dadiwan Culture) is named after this place.

The site plays a major role in understanding the sequence of the various Neolithic cultures on the upper Huang He ( Yellow River ) and their mutual relations.

280 foundations and a large amount of storage caves, Tonbrennöfen and graves were discovered. An remarkable pottery, a three-legged painted clay bo - shell ( caitao Sanzu bo彩陶 三 足 钵) and a colored decorated clay bottle (ping) with a human head at the opening ( rentouxing Qikou caitao ping人头 形 器 口 彩陶 瓶) were discovered.

The Dadiwan - site ( Dadiwan Yizhi ) in a circle Qin'an Open since 1988 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 3-189 ).
