Daewoo CPC-300

Daewoo CPC - 300 is an MSX -2 home computer from the Korean electronics company Daewoo and was introduced in 1989 on the market.

Description

After the MSX -1 models CPC -100 and CPC - 200 of MSX -2 computer was released in 1989. The device is powered by a Zilog Z80A processor with a clock frequency of 3.58 MHz.

The computer has a video interface (NTSC) and the audio interface ( mono). You can switch between black and white and color. Also having a cartridge port of the computer, a printer interface and a tape recorder interface. The mains voltage required is 110 or 220 volts at 50 hertz, and can be set via the switch at the bottom of the computer.

Versions

The computer was manufactured in two versions: CPC -300 and CPC -300E. When CPC -300E it was a stripped down version. It was also CPC - 300 is made in a Korean and an international version. The Korean keyboard includes Hangul characters. The splash screen has been changed compared to the MSX computer and select " IQ 2000" Hangeul is displayed.

CPC -300 has 128 KB of RAM and 128 KB of video RAM, a battery-powered clock and two joystick ports, and a light pen interface and a built-in program " MSX- TUTOR ". The CPC -300E has only 64 KB of memory and no battery-powered clock and it lacks the interfaces for joystick and light pen.
