Daewoo Lanos five-door hatchback (1997-2000)

The Daewoo Lanos is a model of Korean automaker GM Daewoo brand. The Daewoo Lanos was built, among others, also in Poland from 1997 to the FSO under license from Daewoo and sold in early 2004 as the FSO Lanos until production ceased in late 2007.

History

It was introduced in mid-1997 as the successor of Nexia. From the start of production, it was available as hatchback with three or five doors, as well as four-door notchback.

Daewoo Lanos Saloon (1997-2000)

In late autumn 2000, the series received a facelift, which other tail lights, new door panels, ABS standard on all models, and better noise insulation, among other things included. In addition, was added the SE trim plus. In addition, all models got the Euro 3 standard.

In early 2004 he was replaced by the Daewoo Lacetti. The Daewoo Lanos is currently produced only in Egypt. Producers there are the General Motors Egypt as well as the license Speranza Motors, which compete with different model versions against each other.

Abroad

In the Russian founded in 1999 Daewoo Lanos offshoot of Doninwest was marketed as Doninwest Asso. Although there now exists the Doninwest brand no longer, however, the Lanos is sold in a slightly modified form today as Chevrolet Lanos in Russia.
