Dafydd ap Llywelyn

Dafydd ap Llywelyn (* 1208, † February 25, 1246 ) was a Welsh ruler. He was the only legitimate son of Llywelyn from Iorwerth and his wife Joan of Wales. As the successor to his father, he was from 1240 until his death Prince of Gwynedd. He married Isabella de Braose, daughter of William de Braose, 7th Baron of Bramber. From the marriage daughter Helen came out of Wales ( 1246-1295 ). Since Dafyyd had no male descendants, his nephew Llywelyn ap Gruffydd succeeded him in Gwynedd.
