Dagda, Latvia
Dagda is a small town in eastern Latvia and center of the district of the same name ( Dagdas Novads ).
History
The place Dagda was in the 17th century to an estate on Dagda lake of the same. In 1992, the town rights.
In place of the philosopher Nikolai Onufrijewitsch Losski (1870-1965) and the publicist Kasimir Buinjitzki lived ( 1788-1878 ).
Dagdas novads
2009 included ten surrounding communities with the city to Dagdas together novads. In 2010, there were 9331 inhabitants. ( See also: Administrative divisions of Latvia )
